The word chiropractic comes from the Greek cheir, meaning "hand", and praxis, meaning "practice." As a system of treatment, chiropractic is the best example of the mainstreaming of complementary therapies. Chiropractors have become a fixture in sports medicine, and many Olympic teams or professional sport organizations have their their own chiropractor.

One definition for Chiropractic is “The art and science” concerned with the study and treatment of the mechanics, static’s and dynamics of the human body, particularly of the vertebral column and pelvis, for the primary purpose of eliminating neuropsychological reflexes and their consequences”.

The Chiropractor’s job is to correct abnormal spine and joint movement that causes nervous systems stress i.e. pain, discomfort, abnormal movements. The nervous system is that which co-ordinates and organizes your body.

Regular chiropractic care counteracts the effect of stress and unnatural wear and tear by relieving your body of stress, restoring proper movement to the body.
